Crackdown on narcos in Baramulla- Police attaches drug properties worth crores during the first quarter of 2024

April 01:Continuing its action against drug menace, Police in Baramulla have attached properties and vehicles which includes 4- residential house, 1- shopping complex,1- Land Plot,

2- i20 cars, 1- Swift & 1- Scooty belonging to drug peddlers worth 1.55 Crores in Baramulla district during the first quarter of 2024.

The action was taken under sections 68-E read with 68-F (1) of NDPS Act of 1985.

 

The properties were identified as illegally acquired property during the course of investigations/enquiries conducted by Police. The properties were prima facie acquired from illicit trafficking in Narcotic drug and Psychotropic substances by the drug peddlers.

 

This operation reaffirms the commitment of Police to combat the drug menace. Local people of the area hailed the initiative of Police.

 

Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddling in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law. Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.`
