Srinagar, Oct 16 (JKNS): Bhartita Janta Party senior leader Ravindra Raina on Friday termed the incident shown in a video circulating on social media as deeply shameful and unfortunate, stressing that senior officers must treat their subordinates with respect, dignity and professionalism.

In a statement, as per news agency JKNS, Raina said authority comes with responsibility and should not be used as a licence to abuse or humiliate others.

“The incident seen in a video circulating on social media is deeply shameful and unfortunate. Senior officers must always treat their subordinates with respect, dignity, and professionalism. Authority is a responsibility, not a licence to abuse or humiliate others,” he said.

Raina’s remarks come amid the controversy surrounding the viral video allegedly showing a senior officer verbally abusing and humiliating a junior woman officer during an official meeting. (JKNS)
