KOCHI – Union Home Minister Amit Shah has expressed strong confidence in the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) electoral prospects in Kerala, stating that the party is poised to secure 25% of seats in the upcoming local body elections. Shah made the remarks during his visit to the state, where he also expressed optimism about the BJP’s performance in the assembly elections scheduled for next year, reports said.
The Union Minister was in Kochi to inaugurate a development summit organized by the Malayala Manorama newspaper. Speaking at the event, he urged Kerala to explore all its potential for development, highlighting the state’s advantages in areas like total literacy, tourism, and NRI engagement. (ATP)
