“Students are most open to new possibilities. If they become more conscious, humanity will have a bright future” – Sadhguru
The greatest wealth & strength of any nation are its students. The future of a nation lies in the hand of its posterity. The quality of its youth determines the kind of future, the nation will have. Therefore, it necessitates the fact that if we want to ensure a bright future for our country, we first need to strengthen and empower our youth. The youth of any nation and society are its potential energy. They are the power house and storehouse of infinite energy. The youth of any nation and society are its potential energy. They are the power house and storehouse of infinite energy. The youth of any nation are solely responsible for bringing laurels to their country. Therefore, to ensure the bright future of our nation, the first & foremost way is by strengthening them and the best way possible for the same is to provide them education. Not just any kind of education, but the right kind of education which makes them scientific, logical, open-minded, self-respiting, responsible, honest and patriotic.
In the place like J&K, where presence of Security Forces is essential for safety and security, the Indian Army and other security forces play an important role in shaping impressions of children. By keeping the sole thought of “Children- The future of Kashmir”, The Indian Army had identified the Chak-e-Panjpora Middle School, which is responsible for providing education to more than 100 students. Being in one of the poorest regions, this intervention by the Indian Army was welcomed by students and the staff alike. As responsible forces, the prime focus of the Indian Army in regard to students is their development & regular interaction with them. The Army carried out series of events along with the staff and students of the school to include book distribution, sweet distribution, development of school infrastructure to include providing clean source of water, plantation drive and educated students about the importance of preserving the environment. The Army also celebrated Diwali with the students & organised a poster making competition. This interaction has not only increased the bonhomie between the Army and local population but also it was heartening to see and feel the affection and appreciation of the children and their realization that this association is much more than just being about education. The students made beautiful posters explain the story behind celebrating Diwali. This doesn’t only break the religion barrier but also exposes the younger generation of Kashmir to national culture hence bringing them closer to the mainstream. The students developed the feeling of patriotism and the importance of a peaceful nation. The Indian Army also raised a crowd funding project for development of info and tech room for the students of the school. Students are the most important assets of the nation and it is necessary to modulate them for ensuring bright future of the state & nation.
