Principal Secretary HUDD holds interaction with Presidents of Municipal Councils, Committees of Jammu division

Principal Secretary, Housing & Urban Development Department (HUDD), Dheeraj Gupta, today chaired an interactive meeting held with the Presidents of Municipal Councils and Committees of Jammu division.

Dheeraj Gupta took stock of issues and concerns raised by the Presidents during the interaction. He assured speedy redressal of their issues in accordance with the rules.

 He reaffirmed that the present dispensation is keen in resolving all important issues ensuring better amenities to all as per needs of ULBs in the division.

Principal Secretary advised all the Presidents to ensure that all the works undertaken under CAPEX are completed timely for best results. He exhorted upon the ULBs to take all steps towards ensuring proper sanitation in urban parts making the areas garbage free as per guidelines of MOHUA. He also asked them to take up measures for resource mobilization for making themselves self reliant. The

Principal Secretary also informed the participants that AMRUT-2 has been approved by the government and the implementing agencies in coordination with the Directorate are in process of rolling out there scheme on ground.

He asked the Presidents to discuss the modalities for implementation of the scheme with Jal Shakti Department for better planning and execution.

Principal Secretary emphasized that the works under taken under SBM also stands approved by the UT Level Committee with a revised plan of Rs118.00 crore for ULBs of Jammu division.

Director, Urban Local Bodies, Jammu briefed the Principal Secretary about the status of  ongoing schemes approved under CAPEX and CSSs in different ULBs of the division.

The Presidents presented Memorandum of demands to the Principal Secretary.

Principal Secretary assured the Presidents that all their genuine demands shall be considered on priority.
