Srinagar, July 27 (JKNS): Jammu and Kashmir People’s Conference President and MLA Handwara, Sajad Gani Lone, on Monday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of “open collaboration,” alleging that recent remarks by Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma were aimed at politically benefiting the PDP in Kashmir.
In a post on X, Lone, as per news agency JKNS, said that at a time when PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti was facing criticism over her remarks allegedly justifying the use of force in Kashmir, BJP leader Sunil Sharma unexpectedly described the PDP as “separatist.”
Lone asserted that the PDP “never was separatist” and claimed that Sunil Sharma was intelligent enough to understand that such statements from the BJP would only strengthen the PDP’s political standing in Kashmir.
“What a shame. Open collaboration,” Lone wrote, alleging that both parties were playing an old political game to influence public perception in the Valley. (JKNS)
