During the visit, the SDM inspected the condition of roads, water supply infrastructure, power distribution facilities, and other essential public services to ensure that no disruption is caused due to the adverse weather conditions.

He also reviewed the preparedness of the concerned departments to tackle any emergency arising from heavy rainfall, landslides, or flash floods.

The SDM interacted with local residents and listened to their concerns regarding the availability of drinking water, electricity, road connectivity, and other civic amenities.

He directed the concerned departmental officers to remain available on the ground and ensure prompt redressal of public grievances.

He emphasized that any disruption in essential services should be addressed immediately so that people do not face unnecessary inconvenience.

Reassuring the public, the SDM said that the Sub-Divisional Administration is continuously monitoring the weather situation and is maintaining close coordination with all line departments.

He added that men and machinery have been kept on standby to respond swiftly in case of road blockages, damage to public utilities, or any other weather-related emergency.

In view of the continuing adverse weather conditions, the SDM appealed to the people to remain vigilant and strictly follow the advisories issued by the administration.

Residents were advised to avoid unnecessary travel, refrain from venturing near nallahs, water bodies, and landslide-prone areas, and immediately inform the concerned authorities in case of any emergency or damage to public infrastructure.

The Sub-Divisional Administration Karnah reiterated its commitment to ensuring public safety and uninterrupted delivery of essential services, while keeping all concerned departments on high alert to respond promptly to any emerging situation. (JKNS)
