Senior IAS Officer Shaleen Kabra Bereaved as Father Ramprasad Kabra Passes Away at 90

Jammu, July 21 (JKNS): Senior IAS officer Shaleen Kabra, presently serving as Additional Chief Secretary in the Jammu and Kashmir Government, has suffered a personal loss following the demise of his father Ramprasad Kabra, who passed away at the age of 90, family sources said.

According to the family, as per news agency JKNS, Ramprasad Kabra breathed his last on July 20, 2026, surrounded by his family members.

He is survived by his wife Lilavati Kabra, sons Shaleen Kabra and Tabish, a daughter and other family members.

The cremation will take place at Jogi Gate, Jammu, on Tuesday at 4:00 PM, the family said.

Shaleen Kabra, a 1992-batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre, is currently serving as Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Jal Shakti Department, and also holds the additional charge of Financial Commissioner (Revenue) and the Estates Department in the Jammu and Kashmir Government.

The JKNS team expresses its heartfelt condolences to Shaleen Kabra and the bereaved family, praying for eternal peace to the departed soul and strength to the family to bear the irreparable loss. (JKNS)
