Srinagar, July 7 (JKNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday reaffirmed India’s support for a two-state solution for Palestine, stressing that dialogue and diplomacy have become more important than ever in the current global environment marked by conflicts and uncertainty.

Speaking in Jakarta during his two-day visit to Indonesia, as per news agency JKNS, Prime Minister Modi said that India believes peaceful dialogue remains the only sustainable path to resolving international disputes.

“In this era of global turmoil, India believes that the role of dialogue and diplomacy has become more important than ever before,” the Prime Minister said.

Referring to the Palestine issue, Modi said, “On the subject of Palestine, we support a two-state solution and long-term peace.”
Highlighting bilateral ties, the Prime Minister said India and Indonesia were entering a new phase of cooperation.

“Our Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, established in 2018, is taking a new leap today. We are taking important steps in development, security, technology, culture and education. We are taking important steps in every area,” he said.

Modi described the future of India-Indonesia relations as promising and said both countries were standing at the threshold of a new era of cooperation.

“A golden age is knocking on both our doors. There is a shared culture in our history, a shared faith in our present, and a shared prosperity in our future,” he said.

Expressing confidence in the growing partnership, the Prime Minister said both nations would work together to achieve the goals of Indonesia Emas and a Developed India.

“I am confident that together we will achieve the goals of Indonesia Emas and a Developed India,” he added.

Calling the partnership a milestone, Modi said, “From today, a golden chapter of India-Indonesia partnership will begin, and its positive impact will be felt across the world and for all humanity.” (JKNS)
