Srinagar, July 7 (JKNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday reviewed the situation following the cloudburst in the Thathri area of Doda district and directed the district administration to provide immediate relief to the affected families and speed up restoration work.

In a post on X, as per news agency JKNS, the Lieutenant Governor said he spoke with the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda to assess the ground situation after the cloudburst.

“Spoke with the DC, Doda to assess the situation following the cloudburst in the Thathri region. While several houses and shops have suffered damage, fortunately, no casualties or injuries have been reported,” LG Sinha said.

He further directed the district administration to ensure prompt assistance to the affected people and restore normalcy at the earliest.

“I have directed the DC to ensure immediate relief and assistance to the affected families and expedite restoration work, including the clearance of NH-244,” the Lieutenant Governor added. (JKNS)
