Dr Afsana Bano Given Additional Charge of Director Family Welfare, MCH & Immunization J&K

Srinagar, Jun 11 (JKNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Thursday assigned additional charge of Director Family Welfare, MCH & Immunization, J&K to Dr Afsana Bano, transferring her from the Directorate of Health Services Kashmir (DHSK) to the Directorate of Family Welfare, MCH & Immunization.

According to Government Order No. 469-JK(HME) of 2026 dated June 11, a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS, Dr Afsana Bano, presently serving as Assistant Director (TB) in the Directorate of Health Services Kashmir, has been transferred and posted in the Directorate of Family Welfare, MCH & Immunization, J&K.

The order states that consequent upon her transfer, Dr Bano shall look after the charge of Director Family Welfare, MCH & Immunization, J&K till further orders.

The government said the arrangement has been made in the interest of administration and patient care.

The order further clarifies that the assignment is purely temporary and subject to the outcome of any writ petition(s), if pending before courts of law. It shall not confer any right upon the officer to claim preferential regularization or promotion, which shall be governed strictly under the applicable rules. (JKNS)
