Anantnag, June 7 (JKNS): In a remarkable display of determination and social commitment, 18-year-old Rahil Manzoor from Anantnag undertook a foot run from Lal Chowk Anantnag to Lal Chowk Srinagar to promote national unity and spread awareness against drug abuse under the “Nasha Mukt Bharat” (Drug-Free India) campaign.

The awareness run was flagged off from Anantnag by officials at DYSP Headquarters Anantnag and aimed at encouraging youth to stay away from drugs while fostering the spirit of a healthy and united society.

Rahil’s journey attracted attention from locals and commuters along the route, with many appreciating the young runner’s efforts to raise awareness about the growing menace of substance abuse.

Speaking on the occasion, officials lauded the initiative and said such youth-led campaigns play an important role in mobilising society against drugs and promoting positive social values.

The run also carried a message of unity, resilience and youth empowerment, highlighting the role young people can play in addressing social challenges through constructive and peaceful initiatives.

Rahil’s effort was widely appreciated as an inspiring example of how individual initiatives can contribute to larger national campaigns aimed at building a healthier and drug-free India. (JKNS)
