The award recognises the college’s efforts in promoting eco-friendly practices, including air quality monitoring, solar energy utilisation, waste segregation and composting, rainwater harvesting, biodiversity conservation, enhancement of green cover, heritage clean-up campaigns and plantation drives.

The recognition reflects the institution’s sustained commitment to environmental stewardship through the active involvement of students, faculty members and staff in various sustainability programmes, college spokesperson said in a statement.

Principal Prof. Yasmeen Farooq described the achievement as a significant milestone for the institution and credited the collective efforts of the college community for making the award possible.

She said the honour would further encourage the institution to strengthen its environmental initiatives and continue working towards climate resilience and sustainable development.
