Srinagar, June 3 (JKNS): Bhartiya Janta Party leader Sajid Yousuf Shah on Wednesday took a jibe at the National Conference’s legislature party meeting held at Dachigam National Park, drawing comparisons between party leaders and the park’s wildlife in a sarcastic social media post.

In a post on X, as per news agency JKNS, Sajid Yousuf Shah remarked that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s decision to hold the meeting at Dachigam was perhaps his “most appropriate political decision.”

“After all, the gathering included NC MLAs, Ministers, Black Bears, Musk Deer, Himalayan Brown Bears, Hangul, and other rare species,” Shah wrote.

Taking a further dig at the ruling party, he added, “Some species are struggling to survive because of nature; others because of the policies of the National Conference. Rest is history.”

The remarks came hours after Chief Minister Omar Abdullah led National Conference ministers, MLAs and supporting legislators to Dachigam National Park for an off-site meeting, which the Chief Minister described as a day-long exercise to review the last 19 months of governance, including “the good, the not so good and everything in between.” (JKNS)
