MY Bharat Anantnag Observes World Bicycle Day 2026 in Anantnag & Kulgam

Anantnag/Kulgam Jun 3 (JKNS): On the occasion of World Bicycle Day 2026, MY Bharat Anantnag successfully organized Bicycle Day celebrations in the districts of Anantnag and Kulgam with the objective of promoting fitness, environmental sustainability, and healthy lifestyles among youth and the community.

In Anantnag, the programme was organized at Wanihama and witnessed enthusiastic participation from youth and local residents. The event was graced by the Zonal Physical Education Officer (ZPEO), Achabal, as the Chief Guest, while Principal Irshad Ahmad Parray attended as the Guest of Honour.

 

To commemorate the occasion, a bicycle rally was flagged off from Dialgam and culminated at Wanihama. The rally carried the message of healthy living, environmental conservation, and the importance of cycling as a sustainable mode of transportation.

 

Following the rally, participants were felicitated with certificates, prizes, and T-shirts in recognition of their active participation.

Similarly, in Kulgam, the programme was organized at Kund. The event was attended by Naib Tehsildar Kund, Mr. Subzar Ahmad, and the Principal of Madrasa Noor-ul-Aloom Kund.

 

A bicycle rally was conducted to mark the occasion, drawing participation from youth and local community members. At the conclusion of the programme, participants were awarded certificates, prizes, and T-shirts for their enthusiastic involvement.

 

Speaking on the occasion, the dignitaries emphasized the importance of adopting cycling as a healthy, affordable, and eco-friendly mode of transportation.

 

They appreciated the efforts of MY Bharat Anantnag in creating awareness about fitness, environmental protection, and community engagement among young people.

 

The celebrations served as a reminder of the bicycle’s contribution to sustainable development, physical well-being, and a cleaner environment, while inspiring youth to embrace active and responsible lifestyles. (JKNS)
