Srinagar, Jun 3 (JKNS): A delegation of the Hoteliers Association on Wednesday called on the Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), Mr. Faz Lul Haseeb, IAS, and held detailed deliberations on a range of civic, sanitation, and urban service-related issues affecting the hospitality sector across Srinagar.

During the meeting, the delegation highlighted concerns regarding sanitation management, waste collection, cleanliness of public spaces, and the need for intensified civic interventions in areas witnessing significant tourist footfall and a high concentration of hotels and guest houses. He emphasized that sustained coordination between civic agencies and industry stakeholders is vital for creating a clean, sustainable, and tourist-friendly urban ecosystem.

Senior officers of the Corporation, including Joint Commissioners, the Chief Revenue Officer, concerned Sanitation Officers, and other officials, attended the meeting and took note of the issues and suggestions put forth by the delegation for appropriate follow-up action.
