Budgam, Feb 16 (JKNS): A tragic road accident in the Bugam area of Chadoora claimed the life of a minor girl and left her mother injured on Monday afternoon.
Officials told news agency JKNS that a motorcycle bearing registration number JK04K-4569 hit a pedestrian girl, identified as Qaira Mushtaq (10), daughter of Mushtaq Ahmad Kumar, a resident of Kultreh Chadoora. Her mother was also injured in the incident.
Both were immediately rushed to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Chadoora for medical attention. However, doctors declared the minor girl dead shortly after admission.
The injured mother was later shifted to Bone and Joint Hospital Srinagar for advanced treatment.
Police have registered a case in this regard and further investigation is underway. (JKNS)
