Three IGP’s Among 17 J&K Police Personnel Honoured with Medals for Meritorious Service

Srinagar, Jan 25 (JKNS): Seventeen officers and personnel of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, including three Inspector Generals of Police, have been conferred the Medal for Meritorious Service for their outstanding devotion to duty and distinguished service.

As per details obtained by news agency JKNS, the recipients include Inspector Generals of Police Mohd Suleman Choudhary, Sujit Kumar and Vivek Gupta.

Among other awardees are Himat Singh, Champa Devi Sharma, Khushwant Singh and Gurmeet Singh, all Deputy Superintendents of Police. Inspectors Anil Sharma, Reyaz Ahmad Langoo, Sardar Singh, Neeraj Kumar Koul and Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat have also been honoured.

The list further includes Sham Lal and Balwinder Singh Bali, Assistant Sub-Inspectors; Gopal Singh, Head Constable; and constables Tawheed Ahmad Thoker and Shubh Kumar.

The medals recognise the recipients’ professionalism, commitment and significant contribution to maintaining law and order and strengthening policing in Jammu and Kashmir. (JKNS)
