India Advises Citizens to Avoid Non-Essential Travel to Venezuela

New Delhi, Jan 4 (JKNS): The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has issued a fresh advisory cautioning Indian nationals against undertaking non-essential travel to Venezuela in light of the prevailing situation in the country.

In the advisory as per news agency JKNS, the MEA has urged all Indians currently present in Venezuela to remain vigilant, limit their movement, and take all necessary precautions to ensure their safety.

Advisory reads, “In view of recent developments in Venezuela, Indian nationals are strongly advised to avoid all non-essential travel to Venezuela,” it reads.

“All Indians who are in Venezuela for any reason are advised to exercise extreme caution, restrict their movements, and remain in contact with Embassy of India in Caracas through their email id, [email protected] or the emergency phone number +58-412-9584288 (also for WhatsApp calls),” reads the advisory.
