Legendary Actor Dharmendra Dies at 89 After Prolonged Illness

Srinagar, Nov 24 (JKNS): Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra, one of Indian cinema’s most celebrated figures, passed away on Monday morning at the age of 89 after a prolonged illness.

As per news agency JKNS, the legendary actor had been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital on November 10, 2025, after suffering severe breathing difficulties.

He was shifted to the ICU and placed on ventilatory support, with doctors monitoring him continuously. Though the family had earlier stated that his condition was improving, his health deteriorated sharply in the last 24 hours.

Dharmendra, known fondly as the ‘He-Man of Bollywood’, had a remarkable film career spanning several decades, featuring in over 300 movies.

His charisma, powerful performances, and warm off-screen personality made him one of the most adored stars of Indian cinema.

His passing has left a deep void in the film industry, with tributes pouring in from across the country. Dharmendra leaves behind a monumental legacy that will continue to inspire generations of actors and fans. (JKNS)
