New Delhi: Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada, Anita Anand, called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi today, with the two leaders focusing on imparting “new momentum” to the India-Canada bilateral partnership.

Prime Minister Modi welcomed Ms. Anand, conveying that her visit would contribute significantly to ongoing efforts aimed at revitalizing the relationship between the two nations.

The Prime Minister took the opportunity to recall his visit to Canada in June this year for the G7 Summit, during which he held an “extremely productive meeting” with his Canadian counterpart, Prime Minister Mark Carney.

Highlighting key areas for future collaboration, Mr. Modi noted the significance of enhanced cooperation between India and Canada in multiple sectors, specifically mentioning trade, energy, technology, agriculture, and strengthening people-to-people ties.

Prime Minister Modi also conveyed his warm wishes to Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and expressed that he is looking forward to their upcoming engagements.
