As per details available with news agency JKNS, Sharma submitted his nomination papers before the Returning Officer at Srinagar, accompanied by senior party leaders and supporters. His candidature reflects the BJP’s focus on experienced leadership and balanced representation from the Union Territory in the Upper House.
