New Delhi, Oct 12 (JKNS): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has finalized its candidates for the upcoming biennial Rajya Sabha elections in Jammu and Kashmir, approving three names for four vacant seats.

In a statement as per news agency JKNS, the party said, it was stated that Mr. Ghulam Mohammad Mir has been nominated under Notification 01, while Mr. Rakesh Mahajan will contest under Notification 02. For Notification 03, which includes two seats, the party has fielded Mr. Sat Pal Sharma.

The announcement was made by BJP National General Secretary and Headquarters Incharge, Arun Singh. The elections for the Rajya Sabha seats from Jammu and Kashmir are scheduled to be held later this month on October 24 (JKNS)
