NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a two-state visit tomorrow, with a schedule that includes a high-level diplomatic meeting in Varanasi and an on-the-ground assessment of the flood situation in Uttarakhand.

In Uttar Pradesh, PM Modi will host the Prime Minister of Mauritius, Dr. Navinchandra Ramgoolam, in Varanasi. This meeting, which underscores the “civilizational connect” between the two nations, will focus on strengthening bilateral cooperation. The leaders are expected to review the full spectrum of their countries’ relationship, with a particular emphasis on development partnership and capacity building. They will also discuss opportunities for collaboration in sectors such as health, education, and emerging domains like renewable energy and digital infrastructure.
