JODHPUR, Rajasthan (ATP) —Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated that national security is the collective responsibility of all citizens, citing the full support provided by people in border areas to the Armed Forces during “Operation Sindoor.” The minister made the remarks today while inaugurating a Defence & Sports Academy here.

Singh emphasized that a strong and secure nation is built on the amalgamation of defence, education, and sports. According to a PIB statement, He praised the determination of the youth during Operation Sindoor, an operation carried out by the Indian Armed Forces in response to a terror attack in Pahalgam. Singh described the operation as a reflection of “New India,” which he said discriminates on the basis of “karma” (actions) and not “dharma” (religion), as terrorists had done in the Pahalgam attack.
