On the occasion, the President emphasized that it is the responsibility of all to preserve the invaluable knowledge, cultural heritage, and nature-centric lifestyle of tribal communities. She underlined the need to support these communities so that they can become active participants in the nation’s development journey with due respect and dignity.

Significantly, among those who met the President was Shabir-ul-Hassan Gilani, a former police officer from Karnah and the President of Jammu & Kashmir Sadat International.

He raised concerns about the challenges faced by the Pahari community, stressing the urgent need for improvements in education, road connectivity, healthcare facilities, tourism, agriculture, and horticulture.

He also strongly advocated for greater employment opportunities for youth in the region. (JKNS)
