NIA attaches property of Srinagar resident for allegedly killing two non-local workers

NIA ATTACHES 4 MORE TERROR-LINKED PROPERTIES IN KASHMIR IN CONTINUING CRACKDOWN ON TERRORIST NETWORK

Srinagar: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday attached the property of a resident here who was allegedly involved in killing of two non-local workers earlier this year, officials said.

They said the property belonging to Adil Manzoor Langoo of Zaldagar Srinagar was attached by the NIA sleuths during the probe of the killing of two non-locals workers in Shaheed Gunj area in February this year.

The property was attached under section 25 of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), they said. A notice was also attached by the NIA.

On February 7, evening unknown terrorists opened fire upon two persons at ShallaKadal, Shaheed Gunj Srinagar in which Amritpal Singh of Chamyari Punjab succumbed to his injuries on spot. Another person Rohit Masi also from the same village succumbed to his injuries the next morning in Srinagar hospital.

A case was initially registered in Police Station Shaheed Gunj, Srinagar and investigation was later taken over by the NIA.

Days after the killing of two non locals, J&K police arrested Adil Langoo from Srinagar.
