RAMBAN, APRIL 08: District Election department, under the guidance of District Election Officer (DEO) Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, today organized training sessions for Election Staff of AC-54 Ramban and AC-55 Banihal here.

The programme aimed to enhance preparedness for upcoming Lok Sabha Elections, ensuring fair, transparent and smooth conduct of elections.

A total of 982 officers and officials, including 420 for AC-54 Ramban and 562 for AC-55 Banihal, attended the training sessions held at Conference Hall and Community Hall respectively.

The sessions featured demonstrations by master trainers on the proper sealing, installation, and functioning of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). Forms were distributed for postal ballots to officials attending training.

Polling personnel were sensitized about their crucial role during the electoral process and were instructed to strictly follow the guidelines of the Election Commission of India (ECI) to ensure the integrity of the electoral process. Officers emphasized the importance of polling officers performing their duties with utmost zeal and dedication, upholding the principles of democracy and ensuring a transparent and impartial electoral process.
