SAMBA, APRIL 08: In continuation to series of activities being organized under SVEEP voter awareness campaign, NSS Unit (KHIDMAT) of Government Degree College Vijaypur organized a pledge taking ceremony on the importance of voting in democracy today.

The program was organized under the able guidance and supervision of the esteemed Principal, Prof. Vandana Gupta. NSS volunteers, students and faculty members took the pledge and showed their commitment towards voting and in choosing their representatives for the upcoming elections.

The Principal, while speaking , asserted that voting in a democracy is of utmost importance as it lets citizens choose their representatives in forming the government. She further stated that voting and taking part in electoral process is more than a right and made sure that all the students of the college register themselves for the upcoming elections.

The event was coordinated by Prof. Mamta Gupta, Dr. Anoop Kumar Bhagat, Prof. Ritu Bhagat, Prof. Poonam Kundan, Dr. Manoj Heer,Dr. Naseem Chowdhary and Prof. Meetu Sharma and co-ordinated by Dr. Priyanka Ganjoo, Dr. Radhika Rasyal, and Prof. Renuka Kundal.
