Kashmir, nestled in the breathtaking Himalayas, has endured prolonged political instability and unrest, rendering the issue of women’s empowerment not only a matter of gender equality but also a means to foster stability and prosperity. This article delves into the multifaceted landscape of women’s empowerment in Kashmir, examining historical contexts, educational initiatives, economic strides, political participation, and the challenges that persist. Kashmir’s history is woven with intricate threads of political tensions and social dynamics. The longstanding conflict in the region has left an indelible mark on its inhabitants, particularly its women. Over the years, Kashmiri women have confronted numerous hurdles, including limited access to education, constrained mobility, and a dearth of economic opportunities.
