Haziq Tariq, a 23-year-old, was born as a typical child. However, during his first year of life, he faced a medical complication that significantly affected his sense of hearing and speech, leading to a profound and lasting change in his life. Haziq completed his 10th standard education in Baramulla, after which he pursued further studies in Chandigarh. He obtained a BCA Degree from Punjab University Patiala in 2023 with excellent marks.

Haziq hails from the village of Shutloo in the Rafiabad area of North Kashmir. His parents worked tirelessly to overcome challenges and make seemingly impossible things achievable for him, thereby serving as an inspiration to others. He has always been active in cricket and is now looking forward to applying for the DTISL Course.

In his written message, Haziq stated, “I have a plan to secure a job in Kashmir so that I can fulfill my needs and dreams. However, there is no possibility of finding a job for students like me in Kashmir.”

Haziq further expressed, “I want to teach regular students, but I can’t. Instead, I aspire to teach deaf and deaf-blind students in Kashmir. If any school or private company is interested in offering me a job, I am ready to accept it, allowing me to fulfill both my and my parents’ aspirations.”
