DECC Doda organises career Counselling Session for ITI trainees, Students

In District Employment and Counselling Centre (DECC) Doda, in collaboration with the J&K Skill Development Department, organized a counselling session here in the Conference Hall. More than 300 students from different areas of the district actively participated in the event.

Joint Director of Employment Jammu, Dr. Khalid Hussain Malik was the chief guest, who inaugurated the session

 

Deputy Director of Employment Doda, Idrees Lone, along with representatives from DIC Doda, District Incharge of EDI Doda, and faculty members of ITI, guided the youth about different career options aligned with their skill sets within Jammu and Kashmir, as well as outside the region.

 

Neeraj Kumar from DIC Doda, District Incharge of EDI and representatives from ALC Doda besides several other officers also participated in the counselling session,

 

They informed the participants about various self-employment generation schemes and youth-oriented initiatives implemented by DECC, such as TEJASWANI, MUMKIN and Spurring Entrepreneurship scheme.

 

The session concluded with an interactive discussion, allowing the participants to engage with Dr. Khalid Malik, Jt Director of Employment Jammu. During the discussion, Dr. Malik emphasized the significance of registration, counselling sessions, job fairs and the JAKEMP portal. These platforms serve as valuable resources for information sharing between job seekers and providers.

 

Furthermore, the DECC provided the participants with a Google link for registration and assured them of future invitations to job fairs, enabling them to pursue their preferred career paths.
