KUPWARA, MAY 15: Deputy Commissioner(DC) Kupwara, Dr. Doifode Sagar Dattatray today convened a meeting of Revenue Officers at Mini-Meeting hall of DC office complex Kupwara to review the functioning of the Revenue department in the district.
Threadbare discussion was held in the review meeting with regard to agenda points including removal of encroachment from state land, Kahcharie land, digitization/geo-referencing of cadastral maps, Fard-e-Partal, pending mutations, agriculture census, change of land use, status of Revenue court cases, land acquisition, Issuance of ST certificates for FRA and other related issues.
The Deputy Commissioner reviewed all agenda points and received feedback from the concerned officers.
At the outset of meeting, it was apprised that out of total 52,698 kanals of encroached State land 30,552 kanals of state land has been physically retrieved and out of total 53342 kanals of Kahchari, 30633 Kanals of Kahchari land has been physically retrieved from the illegal occupation upto 13/05/23.
The Deputy Commissioner while stressing for better service delivery, appreciated the officers and field functionaries for improving their performance, however, Deputy Commisioner was quick to direct officers to be more proactive, improve the pace and ensure time -line strictly.
The Deputy Commissioner asked concerned officers and field functionaries to speed up the data uploading and data updation of digitization, geo Referencing of Cadastral maps, agricultural census so that progress is reflected on different portals.
While reviewing performance appraisals of different tehsils and Nyabats, Deputy Commisioner asked the concerned to speed up the service delivery mechanism.
Deputy Commisioner gave a deadline to Revenue officer and field functionaries upto Saturday, 20th May for completion of Digitization and Geo Referencing of Cadastral maps. Deadline of completion of uploading of Agricultural census was fixed upto Thursday 18th May.
DC asked NTs to entertain, Hear, and dispose- off court cases in respective Nayabats and upload court cases on RCCMS (Revenue court Cases Monitoring System).
DC said the people are directly or indirectly linked with the Revenue department and it is prime responsibility of the Revenue functionaries to come up to the expectations of the public.
DC asked concerned to prioritise the compliance of reports, and disposal of complaints and submit them with in time frame so that different grievances are redressed.
DC asked Tehsildars to conduct special camps for issuance of ST certificates in FRA(forest Rights Act) cases.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Irfan Bahadur, SDM Lolab, Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars and other concerned officers.
