BANDIPORA, May 15: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad alongwith Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Bandipora, Lakshay Sharma, IPS,  distributed school bags and other essential educational items to girl children at Gurez under Civil Action Program of the District Police Bandipora, which aims to foster community development and social welfare.  The event witnessed DC Bandipora and SSP Bandipora personally hand out school bags, stationery supplies, and other educational materials to numerous deserving girl students from various schools. The program specifically focused on empowering girls and ensuring that they have the necessary resources to pursue their education with confidence and enthusiasm.  Speaking at the occasion, the DC Bandipora expressed his delight in being part of such a meaningful endeavor. He emphasized the importance of education in shaping the future of the young generation and acknowledged the significant role that girls play in society. He further reiterated the commitment of the district administration to promote equal opportunities for all children, irrespective of their gender.  The SSP Bandipora, in his address, highlighted the crucial role of the police department in community welfare. He stressed the significance of collaboration between various stakeholders to bring about positive change and create a conducive environment for the growth and development of children.  SSP said, Civil Action Program of the District Police Bandipora has been actively involved in several community-based initiatives, focusing on education, health, and overall welfare. By distributing school bags and educational supplies to girl children, the program aims to support and encourage their educational aspirations while fostering an inclusive and supportive society.  The event received an overwhelming response from the attendees, including PRIs, students, parents, teachers, and community members. The girl children expressed their gratitude and enthusiasm for the support they received, which they believed would greatly enhance their learning experience.
