Hundreds of jail police personnel who are posted in various jails in Gujarat went on a mass casual leave on Wednesday. They demanded a pay hike on par with other police personnel and State Reserve Police Force. Recently, the state government announced a Rs 250 crore package for police personnel and SRP jawans, but left out the jail police personnel.
