Police solves 03 theft cases in Srinagar; 03 arrested  Stolen property worth lakhs recovered

February 27: Police in Srinagar solved 03 theft cases by arresting three accused persons and have recovered stolen property worth lakhs from their possession.

Police Station Zakoora received 03 complaints regarding the theft cases. Accordingly cases vide FIR Nos. 03/22, 08/22, 17/22 under the relevant sections of law were registered at Police Station and investigation was started.

A special investigation team headed by SHO PS Zakoora Insp Syed Junaid under the supervision of SDPO Zakoora Shri Showkat Ahmad Dar-JKPS was constituted.

During the course of investigation, officers taking assistance of modern technology and multiple raids at Wanhama, Pampore, Nowgam etc. learnt about the involvement of three accused persons. They have been identified as Bashir Ahmad Sheikh son of Ali Mohd Sheikh resident of Pampore Frestbal, Fayaz Ahmad sheikh son of Ali Mohd resident of Gund Darshaliun Shopian A/P Wanihama Bala and Fareed Ahmad Khan son of Mohd Shafi resident of Kalakote Rajouri A/P Maloora HMT. Subsequently they were arrested and shifted to police station where they remain in custody.

On their disclosure, the investigating team was able to recover gold items worth almost 12 Lakh Rupees from their possession. Further investigations of the cases are going on and more recoveries & arrests are expected.

Our efforts should assure community members that Police is resolved to act tough against the individuals involved in criminal activities.
