Army Day was celebrated at COB Lonahare by local villagers & soldiers of Indian Army on 15 Jan 2022 to foster a sense of patriotism among youth of the valley. The event was well received by the locals. As snowfall has engulfed the valley & threat of COVID-19 is all over the cloud, it was the patriotic feeling & respect towards Army which made them to attend the event while taking all COVID precautions.
The event started with flag hoisting at COB Lonahare followed by tea party and sweets distribution along with gifts. This event has certainly achieved its aim of creating a patriotic feeling for the country & respect for India Army. In backdrop of this event, the locals were made aware of the COVID precautions and information about the its new variant. The event ended with the slogans of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’.
