Panzgam military camp organised Army Day celebrations at Panzgam (Kupwara) on 15 Jan 2022. The celebration witnessed hoisting of flag & distribution of sweets/ gifts to local populace. The unfurled flag hung on a metallic rod stood mighty. The locals alongwith soldiers sang National Anthem and patriotic songs. Their loud cries reverberated in surrounding mountains.
The event also showcased the display of rich & glorious history of Indian Army through the means of posters & movies to the youth to inspire them to join the Armed forces. The pamphlet on various types of enrolment in the Defence forces were also distributed. In backdrop of the event, the locals were made aware of the COVID precautions and information about its new variant. The event ended with the slogans of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’.
