With an aim to provide an accessible, practical and free culinary training for the youth of the valley, who have flair for cooking, Wussan Battalion in collaboration with Institute of Hotel Management, Srinagar is organising three months Culinary course “Hunar Se Rojgar Tak” for the local youth of the valley at Gund and Kangan, Ganderbal. Total of 42 students (including 10 girls) are undergoing the culinary training at Gund and Kangan locations. At the end of the course, they will be given a Culinary Course Certificate by IHM, Srinagar.The course will provide them an opportunity to acquire culinary skills and make variety of cuisines.This initiative undertaken by the Army has been widely appreciated by the local youth of the area as it would help them to get chef job in the local hotels at tourist places like Sonamarg. These kind of courses will go a long way to provide them with livelihood.
