The Mendhar Gunners under the aegis of Ace of Spades organized a medical and COVID-19 vaccination camp at Govt Girls middle school, Mankot adjoining the LC area in Mendhar under Op Sadhbhavna.
The Camp was organized on 13 Nov 2021, with an aim to provide basic Medical facilities & free Covid vaccination to the local populace. An informative lecture about COVID-19 and its prevention was given by the Army doctor. The lecture also include the important information about diabetes, its prevention & cure as 14 Nov 2021 is the World Diabetes day.
This year is being celebrated as the “75 Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” by the nation. Indian Army maintaining its ethos & tradition is reaching all out to the far flung area to provide all possible assistance to the people.
Over 550 patients turned up from the adjoining area and availed these facilities. Mr Parvez Ahmed Khan, BMO, his medical and vaccination team extended their support in succesful conduct of this camp .
A painting competition & lecturrette was also organised for the students of Govt High School, Mankot and prizes were given to the children for the same.
This noble intention and genuine reach out programme by Indian Army towards the locals in this area was greatly appreciated. These projects further strengthen the bonds of friendship and reflects the commitment of the Indian Army towards “AWAAM.”
