Srinagar, June 5, : The Government on Saturday informed that 1448 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 453 from Jammu division and 995 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 299050.Also 25 COVID-19 deaths have been reported,13 from Jammu Division and 12 from Kashmir Division.
Moreover, 2615 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 842 from Jammu Division and 1773 from Kashmir Division.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 299050 positive cases, 28423 are Active Positive, 266576 have recovered and 4051have died; 1973in Jammu division and 2078 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 8797513test results available, 8498463 samples have been tested as negative till5th June, 2021.
Till date 2147753 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 80925 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 28423 in isolation and 145377in home surveillance. Besides, 1888977 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 66641 positive cases (including 222 cases reported today) with 3432 Active Positive, 62413recovered (including 480cases recovered today), 796 deaths; Baramulla has 22055 positive cases (including 140 cases reported today)with 2322Active Positive, 19471recovered (including249 cases recovered today), 262 deaths; Budgam reported 21012positive cases (including136 cases reported today)with 1631 active positive cases, 19191 recovered (including 199cases recovered today), 190deaths; Pulwama has 13787 positive cases (including 107 cases reported today)with2064Active Positive, 11550recovered (including 135 cases recovered today)and 173 deaths; Kupwara has 12630 positive cases (including 125 cases reported today), 1364 Active Positive, 11118recoveries (including 194 cases recovered today), 148deaths; Anantnag district has 15008 positive cases (including 95 cases reported today)with 3391 Active Positive, 11438recovered (including 109 cases recovered today), 179 deaths; Bandipora has 8694 positive cases (including43 cases reported today), with674Active Positive and 7924 recoveries (including 77cases recovered today),96 deaths; Ganderbal has 9016 positive cases (including 54cases reported today)with 907Active Positive, 8039 recoveries (including 174 cases recovered today)and70deaths; Kulgam has 10247 positive cases (including 59 cases reported today)with 1364 Active Positive, 8775recoveries (including124 cases recovered today)and 108 deaths while as Shopian has 5409 positive cases (including 14 cases reported today),1064active positive cases, 4289 recoveries (including 32 cases recovered today)and56 deaths.
Similarly, Jammu has 51486 positive cases (including 106 cases reported today) with 4187 active positive cases, 46205recoveries (including 501 cases recovered today), 1094 deaths; Udhampur has 10804 positive cases (including 28cases reported today), 482active positive cases, 10194 recoveries (including45 cases recovered today)and128deaths; Rajouri has 10062 positive cases (including 80 cases reported today)with 919active positive, 8950recoveries (including 81 cases recovered today)and 193deaths; Doda has 6002 positive cases (including 51cases reported today)with1068Active positive, 4841recovered (including 26 cases recovered today)and 93deaths; Kathua has 8937 positive cases (including 39 cases reported today), 275 active positive cases, 8519recovered(including 85cases recovered today) and 143deaths; Kishtwar has 4130 positive cases (including 28 cases reported today)with 254 Active Positive, 3841 recoveriesand35 deaths; Samba has 6868 positive cases (including 11 cases reported today)with 929 active positive cases, 5825 recoveries (including 16cases recovered today)and 114 deaths; Poonch has 5538 positive cases (including 59 cases reported today)with945active positive, 4514recoveries (including 61 cases recovered today)and 79 deaths; Ramban has 5340 positive cases (including 33 cases reported today)with787 active positive cases, 4497 recoveries (including 12 cases recovered today)and 56 deaths while Reasi has 5384 positive (including 18 cases reported today)with 364 active positive cases, 4982 recoveries (including15 cases recovered today)and 38 deaths.
According to the bulletin, among the total 299050 positive cases in J&K, 21712have been reported as travelers while 277338as others.(KNT)
