GANDERBAL, MAY 20: One the directions of Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna, District Health Officer, Dr. Afroza today inspected functioning of Sonmarg Sampling Site.
DHO Ganderbal took review of staff deputed at sampling centre and the record maintenance thereof. She gave on spot directions regarding further improvement at the sampling site for the ease of the travellers coming from Kargil and Ladakh.
The sampling team was allotted RAT Kits, PPE, Gloves, Hand Sanitizers etc in bulk so that there is no shortage felt at any time.
The DHO also visited the administrative quarantine at Youth Hostel Sonmarg which has 100 bed capacity and inspected the related facilities there.
Later, she visited PHC Sonmarg wherein the staff apprised her about some important issues which she assured them to bring into notice of higher authorities.
Pertinently 875 people were screened on Wednesday on the sampling site. 113 suspects were screened for covid infection, out of which 4 were found positive.
