Functioning of Social Welfare, ICDS, other sectors reviewed at Kulgam

KULGAM, APRIL 17: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today convened a meeting here to review the functioning of various departments besides the implementation of beneficiary and social security schemes in the district.

At the outset, the meeting was informed that under ISSS, 29963 beneficiaries have been registered while under NSAP an amount of 5.75 crore have been disbursed among 5236 beneficiaries by the Social welfare department.

It was also given out that under the state marriage assistance scheme, an amount of Rs. 4.20 crore has been disbursed and 1050 number of beneficiaries have received this assistance through DBT mode besides under various scholarships an amount of Rs. 12.67 crore has also been disbursed.

The concerned also informed the meeting about other important schemes, latest of weed out process, pendency, scholarships etc.

While reviewing the functioning of Labour department ALC informed the DDC that a total of 27143 labourers are registered with the department and an amount of Rs. 4.61 crore have been disbursed as education assistance and in case of death and funeral cases an amount of 57.4 lacs have also been disbursed.

He also informed that the department has collected cess of more than Rs. 1.23 crore till 31 March, 2021.

During the meeting, the DPO informed the DDC that a total of 1208 Anganwadi Centres are functional in the district and briefed about the overall functioning of the department and status of various schemes.

The DDC also took a detailed review of schemes of agriculture and allied sectors, besides he also took stock of the functioning of ICPS and various schemes of the health department.

The meeting among others was attended by DPO, JD-Planning, CEO, CMO, CAO, ALC, Dy-Director RSETI, CDPOs and other concerned officers.
