06 cases settled under SDRF during DDMC meet at Kupwara

KUPWARA, FEBRUARY 08: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din today chaired a meeting of District Disaster Management Committee (DDMC) to settle the relief cases under State Disaster Relief Fund (SDRF).

The meeting held threadbare discussion upon all 10 cases relating to properties damaged in fire, snow and landslide erosion.

Out of 10 cases, six were settled for a compensation of Rs.5, 07,800 and rest of the four cases were put before the District Disaster Management Committee for minor observations.

On the occasion, the DC directed the concerned officers for clarification of pending cases within a week’s time so that the same are also settled in the next meeting.

He said that the meeting will be held every month to ensure timely settlement of relief cases and impressed upon the concerned officers to strictly adhere to the Government SOPs while recommending the relief cases to the District Disaster Management Committee (DDMC).

The DC directed the concerned officers to ensure proper reporting of the cases before the DDMC within 15 days positively for their timely settlement. He further directed them for submission of photographs of damaged spots.

Chairman SDRF Verification (ADDC) Kupwara, Mohammad Ashraf Bhat, ADC, Nazir Ahmad Lone, concerned Tehsildars, Chief Horticulture Officer, District Agriculture Officer Kupwara and other concerned were present in the meeting.
