Visits many villages, listens to public grievances, assures timely redressal; meets Traders Federation Tral, supports their demand of proper rehabilitation on fast track basis
Srinagar, Jan 20: Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K spokesman Altaf Thakur today conducted a whirlwind tour to the Tral area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district where he met Traders Federation Tral and assured them immediate rehabilitation on a fast track basis. Thakur also urged the authorities to immediately repair Batnoor-Karmulla and Batnoor-Hergam road without any further delay as the dilapidated roads are causing huge inconvenience to the people and the commuters.
In a statement issued here, Thakur said that he met delegations from Traders Federation Tral, who apprised him that their shops were dismantled by the authorities and a separate land was notified for construction of shops for them, however, the project got stuck in hitches. Thakur urged the district administration to speed the work of allotment of shops to the traders, who are suffering since long and ensure their proper rehabilitation within the shortest possible time.
Thakur paid visit to dozens of villages in Tral that include Lalpora, Batnoor, Karmulla, Hergam, Chewa, Dodamarg and other areas where he met various delegations who briefed him about day to day problems faced by them. The BJP leader assured the local delegations that their issues will be addressed on priority and that he will pursue their demands with the higher ups and concerned authorities. The locals of Tral areas hailed the alertness and people friendly approach of Thakur.
