The SSP at the occasion interacted with shopkeepers and directed them to keep their stock inside shops instead of causing impediments in peoples movement while encroaching footpaths and roads.

He directed police men on duty to provide every possible help to ladies and elderly people in tough time and strengthen the police – public bond for the larger benefit of society.

Pertinently last few days have proven toughest for Anantnag police in managing vehicular movement in the town in wake of heavy snowfall that suspended normal life for days. However after strenous efforts by police and civil administration, exterior and interior roads across the district were cleared from accumulated snow, besides restoration of basic facilities including electricity and water supply.
