Status of Covid-19 control measures, vaccination reviewed at Kulgam 45733 persons vaccinated in the district

KULGAM, APRIL 17: As many as 45733 persons have been vaccinated in Kulgam district so far. This figure was given out during a meeting convened here at mini-secretariat to review the Covid-19 control measures, vaccination status, testing and enforcement of SOPs in the district.

The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Assistant Development Commissioner (ADC) Kulgam, Showkat Ahmad Rather.

During the meeting ADC sought details about the progress of Covid vaccination drive, availability of vaccination vials, and status of manpower, testing and enforcement of SOPs.

The ADC directed the concerned to ensure that the daily target of vaccination is met. He also stressed for generating mass awareness regarding do’s and don’ts involving employees of other departments and PRIs to control the spread of the infection.

Tehsildars were asked to involve religious leaders for sensitizing the people regarding wearing of masks, maintaining social distance at religious places during the holy month of Ramadan and motivating people for vaccination.

The ADC exhorted upon the concerned to put their strenuous efforts for enforcement of Covid-19 protocols by way of carrying enforcement drives in the larger interest of the safety of people.

The meeting was attended by ACR, ZEOs, BMOs, Tehsildars and other concerned.
