Director F&ES reviews Fire Safety arrangements for ongoing Shri AmarnathJi Yatra

In order to review the Fire Safety arrangements for ongoing Shri AmarnathJi Yatra-2023, Director Fire and Emergency Service (F&ES), Alok Kumar held an extensive two days tour to all yatra base camps of Pahalgam Axis like Pantha Chowk, Mir Bazar, Nunwan, Mamal Helipad and Chandanwari.

During the tour, the Director assessed arrangements put in place in each camp to ensure proper fire safety cover to yatris. He expressed satisfaction over the arrangements and the preparedness of the Firemen deployed in these camps to meet any exigency and appreciated arrangements made by other stake holders for smooth pilgrimage of devotees.

While interacting with various officers and other staff during the tour, the Director emphasised on importance smooth facilitation of holy yatra and impressed upon them to be more vigilant and alert for prompt and efficient response to any emergency call.

During the visit, the Director was apprised by the camp Directors and officers from different security agencies about the various arrangements made for the safe and secure yatra.

The Director was accompanied by Command Officer, F&ES Anantnag and other officers of the department during the tour.
