New Delhi, Oct 20 (JKNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday called upon all institutions and political parties in the country to unite in the national interest and collectively fight against the enemies of the country.
Participating in Dussehra celebrations in New Delhi, as per news agency JKNS, Prime Minister Modi emphasised the need for collective resolve, national unity and self-reliance, saying the country must move forward with a shared commitment to its national interests.
“May our thoughts be aligned, and may all the institutions of the nation, all political parties, stand together for national interest. We must proceed with this very spirit and we must fight together against the enemies of the country,” Modi said.
The Prime Minister also urged people not to depend on others during difficult circumstances, stressing that individuals and the nation must recognise their own strength and capabilities to overcome challenges.
Underscoring his government’s goal of making India self-reliant, Modi said the country must have faith in its resources, turn its resolve into strength and find solutions through its own efforts.
“Because Lord Shri Ram taught us that the difficulties cannot stop our journey,” he said.
Referring to the ideals of Lord Ram, the Prime Minister said Ram Rajya stood for a society free from discrimination, where everyone received justice and equal opportunities.
He said the purpose of power was not to rule but to ensure public welfare, describing it as one of the central ideals represented by Lord Ram.
Highlighting the significance of Dussehra, Modi said the festival symbolised the victory of good over evil and instilled the courage to believe that truth and humanity would ultimately prevail, regardless of the strength of the opposition.
He said the spirit of Dussehra had always remained at the heart of India’s philosophical traditions, conveying the enduring message of righteousness, courage and the triumph of good over evil. (JKNS)
