The Meteorological department Sunday predicted light to moderate snowfall over higher reaches and some places in plains in Jammu and Kashmir.

The MeT said that weather is likely to turn cloudy as the day progresses today. “From tonight (November 13) – November 15th, the weather is expected to be generally cloudy,” it said, adding that light to moderate rain/snow is expected over higher reaches at most places while some places in the plains may receive 1-2 inches of snow on November 14.

“From November 15-18, weather would be cloudy and from November 19-20????, there is possibility of widespread light to moderate rain /snow. The forecast confidence is upto 75%,” the MeT said.

“Sowfall and low temperature may lead to temporary disruption of surface transportation, mainly over Zojila, Sadnatop, Mughal road etc on November 14 and 19-20th,” it added.
